DAY 2: Reflection

My takeaways from today's session was collaborating with colleagues was meaningful, learning how each person works and how they contribute to the project, and that graduate credits are very expensive now. Although we treated it as as individual work sessions, we worked pretty diligently in trying to finish our blog. I learned more about our topic and it's fun doing research on things that interest me.

The one thing that made me sad was that the price of graduate credits shot up from twenty dollars to a whopping one hundred thirty five dollars! I feel like it deters students from wanting to get credits to reclassify. Inflation is never a good thing.

I hope they reconsider the price to make it more affordable. It will definitely be a challenge to reclassify if this becomes the norm.

  2. I agree! Why is it that other professionals in other career fields get free credits and/or free continuing education (i.e., doctors, nurses, accountants, etc.)? Sometimes it almost feels like teachers are constantly begging to get more education or credits in a field that needs consistent training, since our students are constantly changing with society.
